“Beauty is a cultural language,” says Fanny Bourdette-Donon, Global Beauty & Brand Strategist at Augustinus Bader. “It’s shaped by stories.” She has collected plenty of them herself, having grown up between the South of France and East Africa, with formative stints in LA, Miami, and New York. Bourdette-Donon’s worldview is borderless—and, in some ways, her career has been as well. She spent a formative decade in PR and special projects at Dior, at a time when the luxury house was taking an increasingly international scope. There she honed her storytelling; now, a year into her post at Augustinus Bader, she has “merged that with a lab-born innovation engine,” she says. “We’re redefining what modern skin care means—rooted in science, yes, but also emotion and care. That’s the future.”
True to that philosophy, Bourdette-Donon’s beauty essentials play to both efficacy and sensorial escape. “I’ve fallen in love with textures, but what keeps me loyal is results,” she says.
