Jennifer Meyer
The Malibu-born jewelry designer takes her beauty cues from the beach.

When Jennifer Meyer launched her namesake jewelry brand in 2005, she wanted to make the kinds of pieces you never took off—less adornment and more extensions of self. “Jewelry really ends up telling a story,” she says, recalling what her mother always wore (gold wedding band, Cartier watch, simple hoops) the way others might remember a signature lipstick. Besides, in terms of the morning to-do list before the rush out the door, “jewelry is the last thing on the list.” Good thing the staple pieces stay put.
It’s all part of a laid-back way of life for Meyer, whose upbringing on the beach in Malibu has made her a quintessential California girl. She seeks out regular doses of vitamin D while staying diligently up-to-date with skin checks at the dermatologist. She embraces the ease of air-dried hair while doubling down on a skin-smoothing home laser. “I love to be moisturized, I love to smell good, and I love to be glowy,” she says—desires that play out here in her expertly curated BAG. Meyer counts a number of beauty founders as friends (her sister runs C & the Moon, and Meyer herself expanded into fragrance in 2022), though she only shares honest recommendations and hopes for the same. “Like, I want all the tips and tricks from anyone and everyone, so lead me down the right path,” she says with a smile. For now, the recently engaged designer is focused on prepping her daughter for college. “I’ll probably have a nervous breakdown because I’ll be so devastated, and then I will plan my wedding,” she says. “But I can promise you, it will be something outdoors and beachy and just a vibe.”
