photobiomodulation (n.) : A non-invasive therapeutic technique that uses low-intensity light sources, such as lasers and LEDs, to stimulate and regulate various biological processes within cells, including enhancing collagen production, reducing inflammation, and accelerating tissue repair.
This technology isn’t new—LED treatment products (masks, wands, beds, etc.) that promise myriad results abound, and trying to determine which ones are worth your time and money can be... daunting.
That’s where the eagle-eyed editors at VIOLET GREY come in. We’ve made it our life’s work to find the finest products in every category because, for our clientele, only the best will do. To that end, we took to the market with fine-tooth comb; we counted LED bulbs, compared wavelengths, educated ourselves on LED Light vs. Near Infrared Light vs. Lasers—how and why each should be considered and in what form. We tried devices on and assessed them for comfort and durability, packed them in suitcases, and took note of which ones we actually reached for. THE ANTI-HAIR LOSS AND REGROWTH HELMET
Combining 200 LEDs of medical precision and 82 3R Lasers emitting a wavelength intentionally calibrated for the tissue of the scalp, 650nm, this powerful helmet perfectly activates photobiomodulation.
