This scent is inspired by the renowned Wexler House in Palm Springs—the home of Perfumehead founder Daniel Patrick Giles. Airy yet evocative, 1272 translates the modernist home's clean lines, glass walls, and shifting desert light into an ultra wearable, quietly sophisticated scent.
Created by perfumer Constance Georges-Picot, the floral chypre is conceived as a “coltrait”: a cologne-extrait hybrid that pairs the freshness and brightness of a cologne with the complexity, depth, and longevity of an extrait de parfum.
The fragrance bursts open with crisp and sparkling notes of petitgrain lime, Italian bergamot, red mandarin, and pink pepper. Transparent orange flower, Indian jasmine, and verbena lend a light floral sensibility to the heart, grounded by patchouli. As it settles, Haitian vetiver, sandalwood, cistus absolute, tonka bean, and moss create a warmer, more textural impression—conjuring images of manicured hedges, sun-softened wood, and the long shadows of the desert.
