Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella was established in 1221 as a Dominican friars conventum. It is considered the oldest pharmacy in the world and its apothecary art legacy crosses eight centuries. Deeply intertwined with Florence's history, personalities, and social tissue, it is famous the world over for its beautiful perfumes, candles, and “traditional preparations”.
