Penhaligon's

There are some things in life that can never be faked—and heritage is among them. Penhaligon’s is British idiosyncrasy in scent form. The perfumery dates back to 1870 when William Penhaligon, a dapper barber from a small town in Cornwall, set up shop on Jermyn Street in London. In a bid to further satisfy his well-to-do clientele, Penhaligon soon concocted his first fragrance, inspired by the Turkish baths next door. Some 155 years and countless scents later, the line is still imbued with offbeat narratives and beloved by genteel tastemakers far and wide.
