Dr. Catherine Chang
The plastic surgeon brings her next-level mastery to skin care.

The twin markers of an excellent plastic surgeon—precise hands and an aesthetic eye—aren’t just honed in medical school. In the case of Dr. Catherine Chang, who studied at Columbia, Penn, and Harvard before founding her own practice, Privé Beverly Hills, her start as a young concert pianist laid the foundation. “Learning that finger dexterity at an early age and creating those neural connections to my hands really allows me to do my techniques,” she says of her minimal access incisions. The other childhood influence: Kevyn Aucoin’s 1997 book, Making Faces. “I was fascinated by how these little changes with makeup could really enhance somebody’s face.”
This promise of transformation through finesse has guided Dr. Chang’s work ever since, particularly the early rejuvenating interventions that showcase her invisible touch.
