Tanné Snowden takes wellness extremely seriously. The New Zealand native struggled for years with unexplained chronic pain, fatigue, and brain fog before undergoing surgery and finally receiving an endometriosis diagnosis in 2013—a journey that inspired her to create elevated and endocrine disruptor-free body care brand, TRONQUE. We caught up with the founder shortly after she relocated to NYC to find out how she takes care of herself in this new phase of life.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO START THE DAY?

I always like to start the day simply and set a calm, intentional tone. I usually begin with warm lemon water, followed by a cup of bone broth and my vitamins. I always try to fit in a workout, either a Pilates class or a HIIT session, which really helps wake me up and sets my energy for the day ahead. I love the balance of strength and movement, and it always puts me in a positive mindset before diving into work. And of course, spending a little time with our dog is always part of the morning routine. Whether it’s a quick walk or just a few quiet minutes together, it’s the most relaxing way to start the day.

YOU HAVE A POCKET OF TIME FOR A SELF-CARE INDULGENCE: WHAT IS IT?

I love turning a spare moment into a mini skincare and body care ritual. It’s one of my favorite ways to slow down and reconnect with myself, even if it’s just for a short while. I’ll usually start with my body care routine, layering products like our Firming Body Butter, Vitamin C Body Oil, and Triple Active Body Milk together. Taking the time to massage them into my skin feels incredibly relaxing and leaves my skin feeling nourished, hydrated, and glowing.

I’ll often pair this with a calming facial routine as well. Depending on how much time I have, I might use a red light mask or take a few extra minutes to layer some of my favorite serums and moisturizers. It turns a quick break into a moment of intentional self-care, and I always come away feeling refreshed, grounded, and a little more energized for the rest of the day.

WHAT IN-OFFICE TREATMENTS ARE WORTH A FEW DAYS OF DOWNTIME?

I do love a good laser treatment. Last year I tried Thermage and absolutely loved the results—it’s great for giving the skin a firmer, more lifted look over time. I’ve also had Clear + Brilliant, which I think is a fantastic option when you want to refresh your skin with minimal downtime; it leaves your complexion brighter and smoother.

More recently I’ve tried a combination of MOXI Laser and BroadBand Light (BBL). I really like this pairing because it targets both texture and pigmentation, so your skin ends up looking clearer and more even overall. There can be a few days where your skin feels a little rough or looks slightly flushed, but the glow afterwards is completely worth it.

For me, treatments like these are the perfect reset when combined with quality skin care, they stimulate collagen, improve tone and texture, and give your skin that healthy, lit-from-within look without needing anything too invasive.

WHERE DO YOU LIKE TO GO FOR A NATURE FIX?

Since moving to NYC from New Zealand last year, I’ve definitely found that I need a genuine nature fix from time to time. My fiancé and I love escaping to our country home in Millbrook, upstate New York—such a peaceful escape from the city. Growing up around the landscapes of New Zealand, I’m used to being close to nature, so traveling upstate really helps me recharge. We’ll usually spend the weekend walking, exploring the countryside, cooking, reading (and working), and just enjoying the quiet. It’s the perfect reset and a reminder of how important it is to slow down and reconnect with nature.

WHAT BEDTIME RITUALS HELP YOU WIND DOWN?

I like to keep my bedtime routine simple and relaxing so my mind and body can slowly settle. Usually, I start by putting my phone away and dimming the lights to create a calm environment. I'll take a warm shower or make a cup of herbal tea, which helps me relax after a long day.

I also like to do something quiet like reading a few pages of a book or writing down a short to-do list for the next day, so I’m not thinking about it when I’m trying to sleep. Sometimes I’ll do a few light stretches or take a couple of minutes to focus on deep breathing. Keeping a consistent bedtime and giving myself time to slow down really helps me fall asleep more easily.
