This barrier repairing serum comes in a small package, but delivers powerful results. My skin looks more glowing and youthful, as well as a smoother appearance with less fine lines and wrinkles. I use the serum both day and night and initially I didn’t notice much of an effect; my skin tends to be dehydrated because of the climate and I didn’t appear to offer deep the deep hydration that has that instant plumping effect but after about 3 weeks, I really noticed began to see the changes in how my skin looked with a visible improvement in texture and more soft to the touch. I’ll start off by stating from the get go I was impressed with the Sweet Chemistry Barrier Repairing Hydra-serum. The packaging was luxe and thoughtful. I felt like it was put together by those who truly cared about the product and skincare. The pump on the applicator was perfect. It dispensed the perfect amount. It never got stuck and seemed to be good quality. The serum itself is light, not sticky but not overly liquidy either. Mild scent and absorbed really nicely into my skin. My skin is dehydrated, so it tends to really like hydrating products. The quick absorption and slight plumping effect were nice. It wore well under my makeup and never pulled or caused anything to not set. Now why I took off a Star- I don’t think that this would fully replace my HA serum or Peptides I currently use. It was amazing for travel and not needed to carry two products, but I didn’t see the same effect as I do when using my two separate products together

As soon as I applied it, I could feel the creamy texture moisturizing my skin. This serum beautifully absorbs right into the skin. I was surprised at how fast my face felt hydrated, it was almost instantly. Plus, it’s very lightweight too, which I really appreciate. One thing I'm picky about is the weight of my skincare products, I avoid anything that feels too thick or heavy. Since the weather has started to shift a bit, my skin has already started getting a few dry patches here and there, but after using this serum for the last few weeks, those patches have disappeared! I fight with these dry spots every winter and am so glad that they're gone, and hope it stays that way. My skin definitely looks plumper, more refreshed, and I've noticed a nourished glow.
