Editrix was founded by Dahlia Devkota, a former beauty editor who spent more than a decade reporting on the industry for publications including Allure and W. After years of testing new products, covering trends, and exploring emerging wellness practices, she became increasingly interested in the relationship between beauty and the body’s native functions. A visit to the Cedars-Sinai research laboratory of her sister, renowned microbiome scientist Dr. Suzanne Devkota, led Dahlia to consider the role of beneficial bacteria in maintaining healthy skin.
Editrix—meaning “female editor”—was launched as a new expression of her editorial instinct: selecting time-honored ingredients and connecting science, health, and beauty. Developed with an in-house microbiology team and guided by a scientific advisory board, the line combines proprietary postbiotic fermentation, Ayurvedic botanicals, and advanced delivery systems in minimalist treatments designed to support the innate intelligence, resilience, and long-term health of the skin and scalp.
