NYC’s “Acne Whisperer” on her spring skin routine and product essentials.

Nothing Sofie Pavitt does is by accident. From taking her devoted NYC clients’ complexions from irritated and acneic to calm and clear—to packing for her annual family spring break in Jamaica and caring for her own unbelievably flawless complexion—the aesthetician and brand founder is nothing if not intentional.
At the moment, Pavitt is busy preparing brides for springtime weddings and following her own carefully designed skin care schedule. According to her calendar, it’s time to move out of a corrective Q1 period where—both personally and professionally— she doubled down on intensive treatments like lasers, peels, and microneedling, and into a reparative, hydration-centered Q2. She advises that this is the time to “protect your work”—to maintain all of the wintertime progress you made and not let sunnier months (and the damage that can accompany them) sabotage your progress.
Below, the products in Pavitt’s current and seasonally appropriate rotation. Not pictured: The absolutely enormous hat she plans on sporting at the Skylark Hotel in Jamaica.

“My very first product, and still my number one favorite. We formulated this with a proprietary blend of eight percent mandelic acid, hyaluronic acid, and panthenol, so it gently exfoliates without irritating or drying. I use it morning and night for that glass-skin look.”
“The ultimate leave-in that hydrates hair without weighing it down— so, basically, it’s perfect. I apply it to damp hair before blow-drying and add a little to the ends afterwards, too.”
“When I’m running around between The Studio and my kids’ school and various events, I don’t have much time for glam. This hydrating blush is the perfect pick-me-up.”
