Karlie Kloss needs little introduction—the gazelle-like Vogue cover girl has come to epitomize the current era of athletic American beauty. As evidenced by her Instagram, her workout schedule is rather punishing, but somehow she also manages to be Taylor Swift’s habitual hangout partner, jet all over the world, and bake her own line of cookies (actually, Kookies), the profits of which help feed hungry New Yorkers. While in LA celebrating the Atelier Swarovski by Jean Paul Gaultier collection, however, Kloss revealed that her favorite confection to give is from a little-known French bakery and stars “an enormous amount of sugar.” Read more on the model’s celebratory sweets, plus other bite-size gift ideas, below.

HER OTHER FAVORITE KOOKIES:

“Jean Paul [Gaultier] and I have sent love notes and packages to one another around the holidays and after fashion week. My favorite thing to send him are these French macarons. They’re from a bakery in the South of France that used to make the macarons for the King of France hundreds of years ago. [They’re Maison Adam macarons, from the Basque town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and come in a ridiculously chic tin. You can find them at Léna in New York.] So it’s this amazing bakery that he introduced me to, and I always order cookies from there, and they’re ridiculously good. They’re not like Ladurée; they’re a very different macaron. An enormous amount of sugar! No flour! But sugar.”

A BEAUTY STOCKING STUFFER:

“I was just in Tokyo and I spent a day over the weekend running around Harajuku. I went to all these different beauty shops, and they have the most amazing tools. I got a cool eyelash curler that was really unique. In Japan, I swear it’s like they’re living in the future. So I got all these beauty finds that weren’t brands, but were space-age Japanese technology. I also got one of these face rollers that goes under the eye. I have yet to use it, but it would make my eyes a little less puffy from the jet lag.” Violet recommends: Utowa Eyelash Curler.

SOMETHING SPARKLY:

“I am a girl that loves jewelry. I think it’s a very intimate thing, and when I buy something for myself or someone else I really put a lot of thought into it. Of course, with someone else I think about what she would wear every day or on special occasions. My sisters are big fans of the Swarovski crystal dust bracelet. The way it catches the light is pretty insane. I love stacking them with watches or stacking a bunch of them. That’s what I’ll be giving this holiday season. Don’t tell my sisters—I don’t want to spoil the surprise.”
