#VIOLETawards: BEST CHEEKBONE DEFINERS | #VioletGrey, The Industry's Beauty Edit

For Awards Season 2015 VIOLET GREY is documenting Hollywood’s red-carpet necessities. The industry’s leading stars and artists will be nominating who they deem the best in various categories, from dinner clutch touch-up essentials to the most coveted facialists in town, for the #VIOLETawards series.

Few among us are lucky enough to be born with wonderfully high, naturally shadowed and utterly covetable cheekbones. For them, finding a photo-ready angle requires next to no work. For those dealt a hand less defined (and who crave the ability to sculpt their cheeks whenever desired), a contouring formula provides undetectable shadowing that makes any face shape chiseled to perfection. However, not all products are created equal. For a red-carpet-worthy formulation, VIOLET GREY consulted the artists who work with actresses like Olivia Wilde, Halle Berry and Olivia Munn. Their nominations, below.

“I love the color of the Kevyn Aucoin contour; it’s a matte taupe that is perfect for most skin tones.”
“This palette has contour and highlighter, with a creamy texture that is both easy to blend and long lasting. The color of the contour is the perfect shade of brown, and the highlighter is great to apply on the top of cheekbones and under the eyebrows.”
“A great highlighting and contouring kit that is really easy to use. The contour is very pretty and can work on a wide range of skin tones. The beautiful highlighter is a total bonus; it makes the skin look lit from within!”
