Thirteen custom-curated beauty sets (for you and every woman in your life) | #VioletGrey, The Industry's Beauty Edit

— PHOTOGRAPHED IN THE STUDIO BY VIOLET GREY

There are those who believe that two gifts are better than one, and three gifts are better than two (and so on). For such believers in decadence and the art of gifting, there are 13 original beauty sets, created exclusively by the experts at VIOLET GREY for this season’s gift shop on The Shelves. With the Industry’s Beauty Edit to select from, the VIOLET GREY editorial team compiled these sets to fit some of life’s more intricate moments (the dash from desk to dinner, unexpected beauty emergencies, proper spa-ing at home). Months of dedication ensured that each beauty set was curated with the utmost consideration and approved by The Violet Code so that every product is highly coveted and necessary. The challenge, of course, is to remember that it is the season to give unto others, though a “one for you, one for me” attitude is perfectly acceptable, too.

Whether it’s an office holiday party, a cocktail soirée at grandma’s house or hobnobbing with friends, a soft, subtly shimmery smoky eye in warm, rose-gold tones is a sophisticated alternative to its better-known, darker version.

Editor’s note: A not-too-dark palette allows even the novice applicator less opportunity for error. Begin with a soft wash of shadow, building and layering color until the maximum effect is achieved.

Collapsing into bed is how most nights end for the majority of us. However, taking a moment to properly moisturize hands, lips and cuticles before tucking in is an undeniable luxury that will instantly allow one to feel like a well-groomed lady.

Editor’s note: Apply cuticle cream first, then massage in the hand cream to lock in and seal its nourishing effect on hands and nails.

Crimson coordination is an undeniable classic, set forth by the likes of Grace, Marilyn and Ava.

Editor’s note: When pairing these together, one will instantly sense a surge of sophistication and polish and the desire to be referred to as Madame or Miss.

Consider this collection a party beauty uniform in a bag. Combine a dramatic (or coquettish) eyeliner look with a swipe of red lipstick, and witness a quick and easy transformation. The cocktail dress, dancing shoes and itinerary are up to you.

Editor’s note: Two nail polishes are included to cater to any mood — daring or demure.

The French actress for whom this assemblage is named almost always paired her signature eye look with nude lips and rumpled hair. Possibly because a five-step eyeliner look is enough to manage for one day (there are other priorities to tend to).

Editor’s note: A detailed, step-by-step application tutorial is included. A French accent, however, is not.

Life is rife with surprises, but VIOLET GREY is here to ensure that the beauty-related moments are the least of them.

Curated specifically for the frequent flier on your list, the key to a successful flight includes the ability to walk off the jetway with a complexion that rivals a post-facial glow.

Editor’s note: The Olas (all-natural) mouth rinse, exclusive to The Shelves at VIOLET GREY, was created by model Cara Delevingne’s dentist

Prep the skin, then stoke the fire.

Editor’s note: Do try this at home, and consider pairing it with the most delicate of Kiki de Montparnasse night shirts (an exclusive to VIOLET GREY).

Fluttery lashes are certainly not for the everyday, but a set of the proper elements for a lush lash look is necessary for those moments when added oomph is required.

Workplace efficiency includes being able to swiftly transition from the boardroom to the ballroom without wasting a moment.

Editor’s note: Best kept in the top drawer of the desk, next to a pair of dancing shoes.

Hold all calls, cancel the evening’s plans. Tonight is reserved for washing (and conditioning) hair.

Editor’s note: Because every day should be a good hair day

This set was designed to allow those to spa easier and more often.

Editor’s note: Create a new ritual, and begin the spa moment before bed. Fall asleep with the mask on, and wake up with nourished, revitalized skin.

The most necessary components for a salon-like blowout in one carefully curated box. It’s the ultimate gift for those dedicated to good hair.

Editor’s note: The secret is in the Japanese round brush, the Italian blowdryer, the styling cream, the volumizing spray, the pins and the shine-inducing finishing spritz. Yes, that’s the whole kit and caboodle, but that is how critical each piece is in this super set.
