“If there’s a cure for this, I don’t want it.” Diana Ross knew what she was on to when she crooned her 1976 classic Love Hangover, we imagine hot off another evening at Studio 54. And while you might try to avoid an actual hangover, there’s still something to be said for waking up looking artfully smudged in last night’s maquillage – or aspiring to the slept-in look when you in fact went to bed with a clean face at 9 p.m.
At VIOLET GREY, we’re obsessed with a woman’s routine before 10 a.m.–her rituals, rules and reasons for getting out of bed. It is in this spirit that we present our own ode to morning-after beauty. And don’t despair if you did in fact go too hard last evening: as Diana surely knew, the best cure for a hangover is another glass of champagne.
