WHY IT CAUGHT OUR EYE
A few years ago, one pulsating two-sided device unilaterally impressed us, forever changing our face-washing rituals. Called the Foreo Luna 2 and recognizable by its sleek design, it promised (and delivered) a more hygienic wash than its bristled competitors. Once charged, the 100 percent nonporous medical-grade silicone brush (you will never need a replacement) promises 450 cleansing sessions and removes makeup, dead skin, and 99.5 percent of pore-clogging dirt and oil with each use. The other side of the handheld contraption targets fine lines and wrinkles with lower-frequency pulsations, and in turn improves the absorption of your skincare essentials. Think of it as an everyday tool to depuff the complexion and stimulate circulation.
THE ARTIST RESPONSE
“The Foreo is great for lymphatic drainage. Always start your cleansing routine at your neck and work your way up to the top of your forehead. You will see fluids draining, resulting in less puffiness. I also like to use the gentler back side around my eye area.”—Melanie Simon, founder of ZIIP Beauty
“Even people with the most sensitive skin will be able to enjoy this tool, which actually makes their skin healthier. It’s great for increasing circulation and boosting the lymphatic system.”—Joanna Vargas, founder of Joanna Vargas Skincare
Apply your favorite cleanser all over your face, wet the device, and gently glide it in circular motions for one minute. Rinse, pat dry, and use your serums and moisturizer. For the anti-aging mode, flip over the Foreo and press on wrinkle-prone areas for one minute. To clean the device, wash with soap and water and let air dry.
