The perfect oral- and lip-care regimen by New York–based cosmetic dentist Dr. Apa.

Written By JAYME CYK

WHY IT CAUGHT OUR EYE

New York City–based cosmetic dentist Dr. Apa always advises, “You should take care of your smile like you do your skin.” So when he set out to create his line, he not only created the necessary tools to keep your teeth in top condition (think: whitening strips, a sleek electric toothbrush with 40,000 sonic vibrations per minute, toothpaste, mouthwash, and gum gel), but he also encouraged patients to talk about dental products as another element of beauty.

Case in point: Dr. Apa revealed a lip scrub and lip balm to treat the entire mouth. The lip scrub gently buffs away dry skin and replenishes moisture with sugar, sweet almond seed, jojoba oil, shea butter, and orange peel, while the Lush Lip Balm locks in moisture with ingredients like shea butter, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, and peppermint oil.

THE ARTIST RESPONSE

Apa Lush Lip Balm: “I’m a sucker for lip balms and I really like this product because it’s super moisturizing and it lasts a while. A lot of balms disappear within five minutes, but not this one!”—Jamie Greenberg, makeup artist

Apa Lip Loofah: “It’s a great lip scrub to prep your lips, especially if they are dry.”—Kira Nasrat, makeup artist

Apa Clean White Sonic Toothbrush: “This beautiful sonic brush combines the best of two worlds: gentle sonic brushing that leaves teeth smooth and clean, plus a sleek white design with gold trim that looks elegant on your counter.”—Carol Ross, RDH

SUGGESTED USE

Run the brush thoroughly and gently along your teeth for 2 minutes twice a day. Then use your finger to massage a dime-size amount of the scrub into lips. Rinse off with water, and apply the Lush Lip Balm to replenish and hydrate your pout.
