room service
A dedication to an enchanting oriental floral scent inspired by Hollywood royalty.
Written By JAYME CYK
“There are many things in your heart you can never tell to another person,” Greta Garbo once said. And the reclusive screen siren’s quote sparked the imagination of Jan Alhgren, the mastermind behind niche fragrance brand Vilhelm Parfumerie, to create his intoxicating aroma Room Service. Ahlgren envisioned a scene in which the starlet found herself alone at the Carlyle Hotel, capriciously ordering room service while adorned in satin and scent—bouquet violet petals, pink orchid, and green bamboo, to be precise. Once bottled, the heady oriental floral blend creates a mood of indulgence whether spritzed at your hotel’s penthouse suite or in the refuge of your home vanity. (Late checkout is encouraged.)
WHERE TO WEAR
Spritz after departing a red-eye flight and before perching poolside with your favorite classic novel.
