The all-natural hydrating cream that adds a wash of color to lips and cheeks.

Written By JAYME CYK

“Your skin is your largest organ and it absorbs everything,” says makeup artist and green beauty guru Rose-Marie Swift. The artist would know: After experiencing major health issues in the early aughts, Swift—a favorite of Miranda Kerr and Gisele—was shocked to learn that her blood contained toxic levels of heavy metals, pesticides, and other chemicals, which her doctors suggested could be linked to her constant exposure to cosmetics.

Swift was determined to create a healthy beauty alternative, and launched her organic line of color cosmetics, RMS Beauty, in 2008. The collection was an immediate hit among green beauty enthusiasts and the most discerning industry insiders for its organic ingredients, diverse array of shades, and easy-to-apply formulations.

One such hero is the coveted Lip2Cheek, a hybrid blush and lip tint that comes encased in the signature RMS glass pot. As the name implies, the hydrating cream color (organic coconut oil and shea butter play starring roles) delivers a natural flush whether you use one coat for a sheer wash or multiple passes for an opaque stain.

“This delivers sheer yet deep washes of creamy color on lips and cheeks. Apply lightly by day, and layer for more intense pigment and a little nighttime drama.”—Katey Denno, makeup artist and green beauty expert

“I love that you can put the RMS Lip2Cheek on your cheeks and your lips, as well as its balmy, glossy finish.”—Marisa Anhaltzer, VIOLET GREY Melrose Place makeup artist
