A fresh arrangement of blackcurrant leaves and Bulgarian roses with a subtle trail of amber and musk.
Working in her riverside English garden, a friend of the Diptyque founders was captivated by the irresistible freshness of blooming roses mingling with tangles of blackcurrant bushes. Translated as ‘Shadow in the Water,’ this scent opens with an exuberant green note, unfolds into lush rose petals, and resolves with thoughtful notes of amber and musk.

How To Use
Apply lightly to pulse points on wrist, neck, or even behind knees.
Do not press wrists together—this crushes the notes.
Fragrance lasts longer on hydrated skin. If your skin is naturally dry, be sure to moisturize before application.
Reapply every three to four hours, or as needed.
The name ‘Diptyque’ comes from the word ‘diptych’—a painting or sculpture divided in two hinged panels that can be folded together. The original store at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain had two large display windows on either side of the entrance, as if an opened diptych, inspiring the founders to name it after the antiquated art style.
