BROW DEFINING PENCIL

DISCOVERED

Westman Atelier is known for making a specific, special sort of product–clean, luxurious makeup that provides satisfying color payoff while remaining subtle and natural-looking (with the notable exception of their perfectly-punchy red lip colors). One VIOLET STAFFER even refers to the line as, “makeup for adults.”

The artist-created brand has garnered a cult following that swears by their sophisticated take on cosmetic staples. So, when Westman Atelier announced that their latest launch was a long-wearing brow pencil made to mimic the hair-like strokes of a microblade, we all but jumped for joy.

TESTED

As soon as the chic, matte black, twist-up tubes arrived, STAFFERS  fell in love at first swipe. The neutral, not-too-warm shades complemented a range of hair colors and skin tones, and the naturally-derived pigments went on with precision, looked like real hair, and stayed all day. We also found that we could easily customize the application with the slanted tip, using more pressure for deeper color and sharper lines, and less for a softer, more diffused look. With STAFFERS sporting newly-enhanced brows, we decided it was high time our Committee of Industry Experts weighed in.

“The shape is perfect for creating small hair-like strokes or shading. The colors are perfect and I love the easy-to-grasp thick handle.”
—JANICE DAOUD, Makeup Artist

“I really love how easy the application is and the color payoff is amazing.”
—ELLIE MICHEL, Makeup Artist & Hairstylist

“A buildable product perfect for those who like to create a feathery, defined-but-natural brow.”
—KIRIN BHATTY, Makeup Artist
