At VIOLET GREY, we’re huge proponents of bringing professional techniques and results home—especially if they’re loaded with visual appeal. Recently, we’ve been obsessing over Angela Caglia’s La Vie En Rose Face Roller: a nourishing tool made of Instagram-ready rose quartz that drains fluid, improves elasticity, increases blood flow, and promotes cell turnover for a brighter complexion. “I’ve been using this for years in my facials,” says Caglia, “and everyone is always like ‘Oh my god, what is this?’.”

While its jewelry-like appearance is enough to earn the tool a spot on our vanity, it’s worth noting that the crystal counts for more than just aesthetics. Caglia chose to incorporate rose quartz in an effort to open up those heart chakras: “The stone carries love and positive energy. I wanted to create a moment in people’s routines that channels self-love energy if I can’t be there as their facialist.” A tool that lifts sagging skin and spirits? We’ll take it.

To ensure you’re rolling like a pro, we asked Caglia to walk us through her techniques and share some tips for getting the most out of the roller. Watch and learn Caglia’s routine for diminishing wrinkles, how to depuff during a hangover, and why you might want to consider doubling up in the tutorial above.
